What Bloom shows
Bloom places three to five giant flowers around the artwork, at different depths. Their iridescent petals open from the outside in, studio reflections glide over them as they blossom, and their stamens sparkle at the heart. Far behind, a very dark floral rosette turns in a kaleidoscope.
Each flower opens over eight bars, breathes with the tempo, then closes and reappears elsewhere; on the drops they all open together. No flashes, no jolts: a calm world for downtempo, trip-hop, soul and electronic jazz.
