What Pane shows

Pane makes the screen a large sheet of black glass, cracked from its centre into irregular cells with neon edges. On every beat, a pulse of light leaves the impact point and runs along the cracks to the edges; on every bar, new cracks draw themselves before your eyes. The highs make the small cracks flicker, the bass makes the big ones breathe.

When the drop hits, the pane bursts: every shard flies off in three dimensions, spins and catches the glint of a turning spotlight while the camera pulls back through the rain of glass. Then everything comes back to close on a new pane, in a white flash. Without a drop, a pane lives twenty seconds before it bursts. For techno, bass music, big room and hardstyle.

Questions about Pane

What music does Pane suit best?

Pane is designed for techno, bass music, big room, hardstyle, ideally between 120 and 175 BPM. Halofloor picks it on its own when a song suits it, and you can also force it from the console.

Is Pane free?

Pane is part of Halofloor’s free plan, with no time limit and no credit card. Just open the console and start your music.

Is Pane a video?

Every frame of Pane is computed live by your computer from the song’s analysis: tempo, energy, build-ups and drops. It never repeats from one song to the next.

What kind of TV do I need?

Any TV with an HDMI input works, smart or not. The computer renders the visuals and the TV displays them, with no app to install.
