What Pipes shows
Pipes pays tribute to the famous 90s screensaver. Inside an invisible, slowly turning 3D grid, pipes grow segment by segment, turn at right angles and end up filling the space. Here they are glossy neon tubes, each in its own colour, with rounded elbows or ball joints.
Every pipe moves one cell per eighth note, twice as fast during the build-up. A new pipe is born on every bar and the camera angle changes on every phrase. On the drop every segment explodes and the growth starts again from the centre. For electro, house, techno and synthwave.

Is Pipes a video?
Every frame of Pipes is computed live by your computer from the song’s analysis: tempo, energy, build-ups and drops. It never repeats from one song to the next.
