What Sunburst shows
Sunburst fills the screen with a burst of rays, like the background of a retro poster or a comic-book panel: alternating sectors in pop colours taken from the cover, outlined in black ink, under a halftone dot screen.
On every beat a block of rays switches colour in one cut and the colour steps around the circle; on every bar the two families of rays swap colours. The rays turn into a spiral, waves or a star as the phrases go by, and on the drop everything goes black and white before bursting into colour. For pop, house, disco, K-pop, electropop and funk.
