What Contours shows
Contours traces in neon lines on black the contour lines of an invisible, liquid relief, like a living topographic map. The relief flows, swells and sinks: the lines crowd around the peaks, spread apart and curl, with a brighter index contour every five lines.
On a calm track there are few lines, wide and slow, in deep colours; on an intense one the lines pack tight and run outward on every beat. The map is seen from above, as a relief flown over, or wound around the centre, and changes shape from section to section. For every style, from ballads to techno.

Questions about Contours
What music does Contours suit best?
Contours is designed for every style, from ballads to techno, ideally between 60 and 180 BPM. Halofloor picks it on its own when a song suits it, and you can also force it from the console.
Is Contours free?
Contours is part of Halofloor’s free plan, with no time limit and no credit card. Just open the console and start your music.
Is Contours a video?
Every frame of Contours is computed live by your computer from the song’s analysis: tempo, energy, build-ups and drops. It never repeats from one song to the next.
What kind of TV do I need?
Any TV with an HDMI input works, smart or not. The computer renders the visuals and the TV displays them, with no app to install.
