Nature and matter

Ink — luminous ink in black water

Drops of glowing ink slowly unfurling into swirls in black water.

What Ink shows

Ink lets drops of ink, coloured by the album art, fall into deep black water. Each cloud opens into swirls and filaments that drift slowly downward, lit in relief, and where two inks meet their colours blend like real ink.

Nothing pulses on the beat: a new drop falls every second musical phrase, and on a drop three inks of different colours fall together. A slow, contemplative world for rhythmic ambient, trip-hop, electronic neoclassical and slow soul.

Questions about Ink

What music does Ink suit best?

Ink is designed for ambient, trip-hop, neoclassical, slow soul, ideally between 60 and 115 BPM. Halofloor picks it on its own when a song suits it, and you can also force it from the console.

Is Ink free?

Ink is part of Halofloor’s free plan, with no time limit and no credit card. Just open the console and start your music.

Is Ink a video?

Every frame of Ink is computed live by your computer from the song’s analysis: tempo, energy, build-ups and drops. It never repeats from one song to the next.

What kind of TV do I need?

Any TV with an HDMI input works, smart or not. The computer renders the visuals and the TV displays them, with no app to install.
