What Moire shows

Moire is pure op-art: concentric circles, lines, rays and spirals drawn as fine, crisp strokes. Two or three nearly identical screens overlap, and their interference draws shapes far bigger than themselves: flowers, waves, travelling circles. Very few elements, maximum hypnotic effect.

The screens’ pitch pulses on every beat and the kick makes the fringes breathe; on every bar the centres move; each phrase fades in a new combination of screens. In the builds the gaps close and the fringes widen until they cover the screen; on the drop a sharp rotation shatters them into fine fringes and the picture inverts for a bar. For techno, house, trance, minimal and electro.
