What Sumi shows
Sumi borrows the art of Japanese ink wash: on light paper, black ink falls in drops that spread, bleed into the fibres and leave halos, while brushstrokes sweep across the sheet.
The drops fall on accented notes and the strokes follow the musical phrases; the ink slowly dries in between. A minimal, soothing world for ambient, piano, jazz and Japanese music.
