What Eclipse shows

Eclipse replays in time-lapse one of nature’s most breathtaking sights. The moon nibbles the last crescent of the sun, the diamond ring flares, then Baily’s beads go out one by one along the edge. During totality the corona unfolds in hundreds of pearly filaments, longest at the equator, and small pink prominences rise past the moon’s edge.

Stars and two planets appear, and the line of hills catches fire all around like a 360° sunset. Then everything reverses before it begins again. No pulsing: the music only lengthens the corona and brightens the prominences. For ambient, neoclassical, film music, piano and meditation.

Every frame of Eclipse is computed live by your computer from the song’s analysis: tempo, energy, build-ups and drops. It never repeats from one song to the next.
