What Seasons shows

Seasons starts from four photographs of one landscape, a great tree above a lake and a valley, and takes it through the seasons. Nothing simply fades: in spring the leaves replace the blossom touch by touch and the grass greens from the bottom up; in autumn the crown turns from its edge inward and the distant hills change first.

Then the leaves spin down, each in the colour it had on the tree, the snow settles first on exposed surfaces and the lake freezes from its shores; at the thaw, touches of white and pink blossom announce the spring. A year lasts forty seconds, and only the music’s intensity changes the wind. For piano, folk, film music, neo-classical and gentle songs.
