What Rings shows
Rings takes you over the rings of a giant planet. The camera glides just above their plane: below it, blocks of ice drift by and glitter in the sun; ahead, the rings spread hundreds of fine bands and their dark divisions, all the way to the huge planet, striped with pastel clouds, that fills the sky.
The camera slowly rises to reveal the full sweep of the rings and the planet’s shadow cast across them, then comes back down. The music sets the speed of the glide and the glitter of the ice; now and then a glint of sunlight slides along a band. No flashes.
