What Hourglass shows
Hourglass starts from a photograph: an hourglass in a dark wooden frame on a leather desk, a lamp on the left, books out of focus. Lit by the lamp, the sand hollows into a funnel at the top, falls in a one-pixel stream and builds a pile below, under the reflections of the glass.
The sand passes from top to bottom over exactly the length of the track; at the next one, the hourglass turns over in front of the library. Nothing keeps time: a still world for ambient, piano, neo-classical and slow jazz.
