What Haze shows

Haze simulates a room full of slowly swirling smoke, blown by two machines on the floor, and crosses it with a fan of light beams. The beams are visible only where the smoke is dense: they carve it into sharp wisps, coloured by the cover’s palette. It is the moment just before the party starts.

Every kick blows a puff of smoke into the light, the beams breathe on the beat and slowly sweep on every bar; the palette and the rig’s layout change on every phrase. Once per scene a wide central beam projects the cover into the smoke, where it can just be made out. On intense music the drop brings every beam to the centre and a laser sheet slices the smoke.

Questions about Haze

Haze is designed for deep house, melodic techno, ambient electro, downtempo, ideally between 90 and 128 BPM. Halofloor picks it on its own when a song suits it, and you can also force it from the console.

Is Haze free?

Haze is part of Halofloor’s free plan, with no time limit and no credit card. Just open the console and start your music.

Is Haze a video?

Every frame of Haze is computed live by your computer from the song’s analysis: tempo, energy, build-ups and drops. It never repeats from one song to the next.

What kind of TV do I need?

Any TV with an HDMI input works, smart or not. The computer renders the visuals and the TV displays them, with no app to install.
